Here’s what that looks like in practice. A woman who uses in-house labs and starts on pellets would pay about $1,250 to get started ($450 for labs, $350 for the consultation, and $450 for pellets). For a man, the same starting point is about $1,500 ($400 for labs, $350 for the consultation, and $750 for pellets). After that, follow-up appointments every three months add $400 a year, plus repeat pellet treatments on whatever schedule your provider recommends.

What’s Included in an HRT Consultation?
Your hormone care starts with lab work, before you ever sit down for the consultation. You can get a lab slip from our office and use a lab covered by your insurance, or you can use our in-house labs. Women who still have a menstrual cycle have blood drawn on day 21 of their cycle, and everyone fasts for 10 hours beforehand. We schedule your consultation about two weeks after your blood draw so your results are ready.
At the consultation, you’ll meet first with one of our nurses to talk through your symptoms and concerns. Then you’ll spend 45 minutes with Dr. VaNiece Russon going over your blood work. Together, she and the nurse put together a treatment plan and walk you through the next steps.
That $350 covers real time with a provider, not a quick sign-off on a prescription. You can also meet the rest of our team.
Does Insurance Cover Hormone Replacement Therapy?
It depends on your insurance company, your plan, and which part of treatment you’re asking about. Coverage for lab work, office visits, and medications varies a lot, so the only reliable way to know is to check with your insurance company directly.
The easiest place to save is usually lab work. If you’d rather use insurance, we’ll give you a lab slip so you can find out which labs are in-network with your policy. Our in-house labs are more convenient, but insurance doesn’t cover them.

We use EvexiPEL pellets. Each one is about the size of a grain of rice and is placed under the skin during a quick in-office appointment. The pellet releases hormones gradually, so there’s no daily dosing. How often you’ll need a new pellet depends on your body and how you respond, and your provider will set that schedule with you.
Like all custom-compounded medications, pellets aren’t FDA-approved products, which is one reason a careful evaluation and regular monitoring matter. Pellets aren’t the right fit for everyone. Luxe members get about 10% off hormone services, along with lower prices on injectables, fillers, threads, and other treatments. The membership is $250 a month on a one-year contract, and the full amount you pay each month is banked in your account to spend on treatments.
If hormone therapy is the only thing you come in for, the membership may not pay off. It makes the most sense for patients who already get Botox, filler, facials, or other treatments, since you’re banking money you’d spend anyway and getting the discount on top.
